Wooden Blocks

Little One...

Your Daddy is making some wooden blocks for you to play with!

Yesterday, we were shopping and as we often do, we split up to look at the things that interest each of us and then come back together to finish off our shopping. While he was off wandering, he came upon some wooden blocks. He told me that he wanted to make you some wooden blocks. So we did some research about what kinds of paint and sealers we should use so that you can play safely with the blocks.

We both love you so much and we are anxiously awaiting your arrival, and it is nice to see him preparing for you.

As always, we are praying for you and your caregivers, we pray that you would know how loved you are. We pray for your birth parents; we will always be grateful to them for the sacrifice that they will make on your behalf.

One year...

Hello Little One!

Today it has been one year since we were officially approved to adopt from the Philippines! We are so excited that the first year has passed quickly and now we know that we should have a year or less to wait for you! We cannot wait to meet you and get to know you! We love you already and we are ready to be your Mommy and Daddy!

We have been planning how we are going to announce your arrival (well the proposal). We have a plan and things are falling into place! We have a nice surprise for our family and friends that is in the works! We can't wait to announce that we are going to be a Mommy and a Daddy...

We love you and we pray for you, your birth parents and your caregivers often. It is our prayer that you would continue to grow up and be healthy and be safe...and that God would provide you with all that you need...that you would have enough to eat, and drink...that you would have many caregivers and friends who love you and care for you and that we would be able to come and get you as soon as possible!

Goodnight Sweet Little One...We love you!

Announcement

Little One...we are waiting for you! The wait is not as difficult as we anticipated, mainly because we know that you are going to come and join our family soon.

We have been planning how we will announce that you are coming to our family and friends. We have thought long and hard about it and we decided that your fuzzy friend Ferdinand the Moose (made especially for you) would go on a hunt, searching for his purpose in life. We took a bunch of silly photos of Ferdinand looking for his purpose and then finally he realizes that his true purpose in life is to be a hugable, loveable, furry friend to you...Our Little One...we have been calling you that for a while now...At the end of our book, we will paste an envelope onto the back cover we will place your announcement picture into the envelope. We have to have the books pre-printed because it takes a week or so to have them printed and we don't want to wait that long once we receive our referral to tell all of our family and friends so a photo insert at the end will do perfectly.

We ordered a sample copy for your dad and I and we received it today! Shhh...it's our secret though. Oh, Little One, it is so amazing! We can hardly wait until we have your referral and we can give these gifts to our family and friends. We are so excited!

We can hardly wait for you to come and join our family...loving you already....

Your Mommy

(We made a few small changes to the book and over the weekend (Thanksgiving 2009) we ordered all the copies for our family! I can hardly wait! We'll be ready when we get the proposal to make the announcement to our families! - we're so excited about the book that we had a hard time not talking about it at our Thanksgiving dinner!)

Loved!

Little one, even though we don't know you yet, you are loved!

There is not a day that goes by that we don't think about you, or talk about you. We are wondering what our life will be like when you are here! We want you to come quickly, but there is nothing else we can do now, except wait. We are expecting to have to wait for another year before we are introduced to you. The idea that we still have to wait so long is difficult for us sometimes, but we know that God is in control, and when the time is right, you will come home to us.

We pray for your birth parents on a regular basis, that they will take care of you to the best of their ability, we also pray for the people who will take care of you while you are waiting for us to come to get you. We pray that you will know that you are loved even from the very moment that you are conceived. We love you already and we can hardly wait for you to come home.

You were thought of and talked about a lot during the Christmas holidays, and you were even given presents.

Gram Gram gave you a book called "The Little Moose", and she also gave you two stuffed animals, one small soft smushy one and one that is really funny - his body is a spring.
Your Uncle Tim and Auntie Charleen gave us a pattern to make a quilt for you.

Your Grandma and Grandpa Seguin bought you a stuffed moose - he has a great beard!
And, your great aunt Lise, and your second cousins Lea and Justine bought you the cutest little pooh bear when they were on vacation at Disney World.

We all are so excited to meet you and we all love you so very much already!
